Kat Miller

Kat Miller is an associate in the Portland office of the global law firm K&L Gates, focusing her practice on alternative funds, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She advises both investors and fund managers on organizational, regulatory and securities compliance matters unique to private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds and other pooled investment vehicles. She also has experience supporting corporate clients in a variety of industries including food and beverage, retail, and healthcare. Prior to joining K&L Gates, she was an associate in the Corporate and Investment Funds and Advisers departments at Shartsis Friese LLP in San Francisco. Kat has a BA from the University of South Carolina and a JD from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
